ANGELA BARNES
Described by Sarah Millican as 'brilliantly funny', Angela Barnes is 'a gloriously down-to-earth, straight talking and extremely funny comic' (The Guardian). Since winning the BBC Radio 2's New Comedy Award 2011, Barnes has continued to be a regular on the stand-up circuit, playing even bigger venues. She has also appeared on Weekend Wogan’s Children in Need Special and Russell Kane’s Whistlestop Tour for Radio 2, written for Radio 4’s The News Quiz, played on Eddie Izzard’s Laughs in the Park on BBC Two, appeared on Russell Howard's Good News on BBC Three, developed her own series with BBC Radio Comedy, and performed at the Latitude Festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park. In November 2013, Barnes joined the cast of the topical show Stand Up for the Week and, in February 2014, appeared on Radio 4's The Now Show. IN November 2014 she appeared on Radio 4's The News Quiz. She has also appeared on Mock the Week on BBC Two and Dave's As Yet Untitled alongside Alan Davies, Janet Street-Porter and Michael Ball and in Mid 2016 toured New Zealand. In December 2016 it was announced she was the new host of the show Newsjack.

SARAH BENNETTO
'Sarah Bennetto is a storyteller par excellence' (Time Out) a stand-up comic from Melbourne, Australia, now living and performing in the UK. She has appeared on stage, radio and television as a stand-up comic and presenter, and is responsible for experimental comedy collective Storytellers' Club. Sarah has appeared on ITV's Take The Mic, Dara O’Briain’s School of Hard Sums, and has acted in numerous comedy friends' films & TV pilots. For three years, Sarah hosted an interactive music TV show on SkyTV's Soundtrack Channel. This garnered a cult following of devoted night owls. Sarah has made paid TV and radio pilots, including shows for Brown-Eyed Boy, Freemantle Media and BBC 6 Music. 'She succeeds because she is such a skilful raconteur, not only coaxing big laughs, but also those moments of poignancy and inspiration to which so many performers don’t even get close.'  Three Weeks, Edinburgh

MAUREEN YOUNGER
Maureen is frank, fast, feisty, sharp and engaging – honest humour with attitude! She works as a stand up comedian and compere all around the UK and abroad and even gigs in German! As an experienced compere, Maureen is known for her quick wit and sharp audience interaction. In the UK she is one of the few comedians who works regularly on the mainstream and urban comedy circuits.

and last but not lease OUR RESIDENT MC KERRY LEIGH
Kerry Leigh is FUNNY. She writes all her own comedy material and does all her own washing. She has hosted Laughing Cows Comedy for ages (since 2004) through several pregnancies, one marriage, and two anaphylactic shocks. “What disarms you is her honesty and her humility. She's as relaxed on stage as you imagine she'd be chatting at the bar and her banter makes you feel like a trusted friend whose just made you piss your tenna lady. Again. More Kerry Leigh. No really - MORE for the love of God." Rachel Morris Cosmopolitan Magazine Sex Therapist & Big Brother Psychotherapist

Laughing Cows Comedy has been producing live stand up comedy shows across the UK and Europe since 1998. Many of our shows sell out so be sure to grab an advance ticket asap, prices vary from £5 to £25. For venues, prices, tickets and line ups.

Established in 1998 after a London comedy promoter inadvertently threw down the proverbial gauntlet. ‘We were discussing female comics and I asked why there's never more than one female comedian on the bill and he said, oh we wouldn't take that risk,’ Hazel O’Keefe the founder explains, ‘The comedy scene is so doused in testosterone that it's almost capable of growing a goatee beard and sideburns. Female comedians have been fighting to exhibit their talents and prove their quality over the years, and we’re here to help redress the balance’. Manchester Evening News - Marissa Burgess.
